Bill Jeffrey

Bill Pitching

The Eschborn Travellers were a Men's Fastpitch Softball team that year after year was a power house in the US Army Europe (USAREUR) sports scene. The Travellers started in the mid 70's and continued until 1989. The heart and soul of the Travellers was Bill Jeffrey. Bill was the driving force who kept Men's Fastpitch alive in USAREUR until the end of the 1986 season. Beginning in 1987 the mantel was passed to Ike Hart who kept the Travellers going until 1989 when the team played its last game at the Bill Jeffrey Tournament in Haarlem, Netherlands.

The Travellers could include 3 USAREUR Titles,
4 Bill Jeffrey International Tournament Titles and
many International Tournament Titles

Anyone who ever played with the Travellers knows they were a member of a special group. 2010 saw the first reunion of players with John Lleras, Trent Rushton, Mike Arthur, Mac, Terry Pals, and Bill Jeffrey.

When a second reunion is planned it will be posted on this page. If you want to be informed of plans go here and fill out the form including comments that you want to be keep up to date with reunion plans.

This site is for all who have played for the Travellers so feel free to contact me to add pictures, correct anything I've written, or add more.
